The Ferrets

We have 4 ferrets who live with us. Fez, an albino male ferret who came from the RSPCA, Chuckle (also known as Treasure), a male polecat who found us (and the hen hut!), Sweet-pea a white female ferret, owned by Lou, who works with us and felt Sweet-pea needed some friends and Zuza, another female ferret who thought she was a person when she first came to live with us. She had been owned by a Polish lady who had had to return to Poland and leave Zuza (Polish for Susie) behind.

She had obviously been well loved and wasn't used to being caged. She loved to be walked and sitting in a lap. It took her a while to settle in with the other ferrets but now they are all great friends. They are a big favourite of all children who visit and we always have a ferret walking session where possible
